Beginner I. For students who need to learn beginner exercises or work on improving basic beginner skills. Appropriate for new students after
completing introductory private sessions. Classes will teach movement principles and beginner exercises – explaining the purpose and proper
body mechanics for each exercise. Students will practice concentration, control and centering with each exercise and begin to learn about
personal areas of development. Prerequisites: Intro private sessions. No injuries or medical limitations. Instructor approval to join classes.
Beginner II. For students with pilates equipment experience who have a STRONG understanding of the movement principles and are able to
properly complete all beginner exercises. Students must have a good awareness of personal issues, habits and areas of development. Classes
will teach challenging variations of beginner exercises and focus on improving movements through more subtle cues and corrections.
Prerequisites: Familiarity with all beginner exercises including exercise names, how to get into proper position and basic correct completion.
Instructor approval.
Intermediate I. For students able to perform all beginner exercises and variations with precision and correct muscle engagement and
demonstrate ability to self-correct. Students should have great body awareness and show improvement on personal areas of development.
Classes will start to introduce intermediate exercises that integrate full-body, coordinated movements. Intermediate/advanced cuing and
corrections are introduced. Prerequisites: REGULAR attendance 2+ classes a week. Minimal limits to range of motion and flexibility.
Performing assigned homework. Instructor approval.
Intermediate II. Students must meet ALL criteria
for previous levels and be able to correctly
complete some intermediate exercises. Classes
will teach all intermediate exercises with variations.
Prerequisites: Intermediate 1 experience.
Instructor approval.
