JESSICA WALD, INSTRUCTOR
ANA LICCIARDO, INSTRUCTOR
JAIME ALBANO, INSTRUCTOR
Ana's journey of movement started at a young age through ballet technique. Her love of
movement led her to Temple University where she completed her BFA in dance. In her third
year of studying dance, Ana was introduced to pilates. Through the precision and challenge
of pilates, she was able to rehab her chronic back pain and continue dancing pain free! She
completed her training in Philadelphia through Body Precision Pilates in 2009.
Ana continues to take workshops throughout her career under Master instructors such as
Cara Reeser, Ellie Herman, and Blossom Leilani Crawford. She now trains under Master
instructor Carol Myers, always learning and inventing new ways to communicate the Pilates
method to every body.
In addition to being a full time pilates intructor, Ana also teaches ballet and modern dance
locally to students ages 3 and up. Her life's passion is to teach movement. She focuses on the
integration of flow through the body and mind and teaches pilates as a way of rehabilitation,
refinement of movement, and toning.
Jaime received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Montclair State University and was
introduced to mat pilates while in college and was drawn to the fluid movements and the
choreography that reminded her of dancing. Jaime received her pilates certification through
ABC Pilates in Laguna Niguel, California and has formed a well- rounded teaching experience
through teaching at several studios in south California, BodhiZone physical therapy center in
New York, and Brownings Fitness in New York City.
Jaime continues her pilates education by taking classes with many new teachers in the area
and remaining loyal to her own daily practice. She enjoys teaching classes that are an
infusion of Ballet grace, spurts of athleticism and pilates classical exercises (and of course
let’s not forget some laughs thrown in). She is excited to be back in her home town and
teaching at an amazing studio.

Dana has a background in dance, studying for over 15 years. In 2003 she received her group
fitness and personal training certifications and became a fitness instructor. Soon after, Dana
started practicing pilates when she began to have chronic back pain and loved how pilates
taught proper movement and muscle use to improve her mobility, lessen her pain and help
her stay in shape. Dana was passionate about sharing this intelligent method of exercise with
others and decided to become an instructor, receiving her pilates instructor training through
Balanced Body University and Lesley Powell with Movements Afoot in NYC.
Dana continues to advance her education through ongoing classes and workshops from a
variety of master instructors with her favorites including Irene Dowd (renowned
neuro-muscular repatterning coach), Doris Pasteleur Hall, Nora St. John, Amy Alpers and
Blossom Crawford. She has also been privileged to take workshops from pilates elders Mary
Bowen and Lolita San Miguel and in May of 2010 received her certification as a
Post-Rehabilitative Breast Cancer Exercise Specialist through The Pink Ribbon Program.
With a strong interest in anatomy, Dana enjoys teaching her clients how to find better
awareness and control over their muscles and movements to improve alignment for a
happier, healthier body! And she is especially dedicated to helping clients with back pain
learn to better care for their bodies and improve their quality of life through pilates.
Dana opened Pilates By The Bay in March of 2008 and was honored to be joined in the
following years by several other talented instructors all of whom are equally passionate and
dedicated to teaching the highest-quality of pilates possible, educating and empowing their
clients and most importantly - having fun!
Patty Baiano first experienced the incredible benefits of pilates nine years ago and it was so
profound that she knew she had to share this wonderful restorative technique with others.
She received her teacher training through Balanced Body University, studying under Leslie
Powell in NYC. Additionally, Patty completed the Functional Anatomy for Movement & Injuries
certification at Mt. Sinai Medical Center. In the last few years she has also trained with
master teachers Doris Pasteleur Hall, Eric Franklin, Irene Dowd, and Cara Reeser, as well as
many of the master workshops the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) and Pilates Center of
Boulder has offered.
Patty's ongoing pilates training is now focused on the teachings of Kathy Grant (a protégé of
Joseph Pilates) and mentored by the highly respected second-generation pilates teacher,
Blossom Leilani Crawford. Kathy Grant believed that pilates was not just for dancers but for
every body. When asked "What is Pilates for?" Kathy answered "Pilates is for the
unexpected", meaning it promotes balance, strength, and flexibility to prevent injury. This is
the philosophy that Patty lives by, and shares with her students every day.
Patty is extremely dedicated to her client's individual needs. Whether the focus is cross
training to improve sports performance, or injury rehabilitation to help reduce pain, Patty
teaches targeted movements optimized to deliver the desired results. Her sessions promote
balanced healing and deliver total body conditioning to increase strength, range of motion,
endurance, and improve total health and well-being.
Jessica has been dancing for over 20 years and has been teaching and choreographing dance
since 2003. Through her dance studies she discovered pilates and how it could compliment
and enhance her ability to perform and teach. She began studying pilates in 2004 and
received her pilates instructor training through Balanced Body University in NYC with Lesley
Powell and Sylvia Byrd- Leitner in Cherry Hill, NJ. Jessica has also taken anatomy training and
continuing education courses with Doris Pasteleur Hall, Joy Puleo and Blossom Crawford to
name a few.
Jessica opened her own dance studio in 2011 and uses her pilates education to teach her
students proper alignment and posture to help her dancers balance, pirouette and jete. She
believes in a sound body and mind and teaches her students that no “one body” is the same
or perfect. Jessica hopes that her students will embrace their individual body for it’s strong
and weak points and leave her pilates class feeling great, taking their pilates mind and body
with them through the day.
